Focusing on the Captain and company of Squad 252 in "Borough of Fire" Brooklyn and the prestigious companies Rescue 1 of Manhattan and Rescue 4 of Queens, "Brotherhood" offers a rare look behind the red doors of a New York City firehouse. Representing any fire company in any part of the world, the film vividly captures the fire fighters' humor, extroverted personalities, uncompromising respect for fires, absolute laws of seniority, teamwork, enviable camaraderie and dangerous on-scene emergency calls - including the rescue of a family from a burning brownstone.
